Build-Out Underway on Morris Home Furnishing’s Tri-County 91,000 Square Feet Home Furnishing Showroom
Cincinnati, OH (August 11, 2010) – The unemployment rate in Cincinnati continues to hover around 10%, but the new Morris Home Furnishings build-out near Tri-County Mall is providing welcome relief to over 45 craft and trades people. The tear-out and rebuild of the long-vacant building located at 11765 Commons Drive, a portion of the former Roberd’s Grand Furniture Store property, has created jobs for specialists in demolition, structural steel, framing, masonry, drywall, landscaping, paving, painting, finish work, commercial flooring, HVAC, and electrical.
Steven G. Adler, Principal / Director of Asset Management Services, stated, “The renovation and build-out will take approximately 10 weeks, employing a variety of specialized trade and craftsmen for the store opening this fall. Between the Landlord and Tenant Improvements, the cost of the renovation is projected to be $3.5 million dollars and include state-of-the-art electric lighting and control systems, high efficiency HVAC systems, a multi-entranced façade, and will be an economic boast to Springdale in general.”
Larry Bergman, Principal / CEO, and Billy Gillman, Leasing Associate, NAI Bergman (www.naibergman.com), represented Springdale-Kemper Associates, L.P., Landlord, in negotiation of the long term lease transaction valued in excess of $5.4 million dollars; and worked closely with the city of Springdale to obtain all the necessary zoning approvals for this location. “This new business will benefit all the retailers of the Springdale Beltway Commons retail shopping center by attracting more customers to the center”, stated Larry Bergman. |
